ArpMr. Harvey “Shorty” Arp, age 80, of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017.He was born on April 30, 1937 in Centre, Ala., the son of the late Jasper and Maggie Arp.Mr. Arp is survived by his daughters Betty Arp Clonts (Allen), and Elaine Garner (Chad); sons Terry Arp (Angie) and Michael Arp (Marie); sisters Sarah Woody and Helen Cushin; his brother Eugene Arp; his 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.Mr. Arp is preceded in death by his parents Jasper and Maggie Arp.The funeral arrangements for Mr. Arp were conducted on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Redden and Rev. John Redden officiating.Interment followed in Northview Cemetery.The family of Mr. Arp received family and friends on Sunday evening, June 25, 2017 at the Gammage Funeral Home.The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jamie Mosley, Jimmy Ingram, Chad Patterson, Brent Arp, Kenny Brogdon, Michael Lamar Schmidt, Larry Woody, and Chris Clonts.
